Parking and parade-day details

Plan to arrive early on Monday morning to leave time to find parking. Parking in Lexington is available in several city lots, as well as on the street downtown and in the surrounding neighborhoods. This parking guide shows the major public parking lots.

We’ll begin to assemble at 9:45 and will line up right at 10 AM in front of Randolph Street United Methodist Church (118 S. Randolph St., Lexington, VA 24450). If you’re marching as a group, we suggest you make arrangements to meet somewhere and arrive at the parade together.

Temperatures in January can be chilly, so be sure to bundle up! After the parade, we encourage you to visit one of Lexington’s many coffee shops and restaurants for a warm beverage and a snack.

As a reminder, the MLK Community Parade is a family-friendly, non-violent event. In that spirit, we request that marchers maintain a policy of non-engagement with any protesters or others not involved in the parade.
